Our Values
Advice and review process
Six steps to cover all bases
Our advice and review process ensures optimal consulting that meets or surpasses every requirement set out by the financial planning industry.
We draw on over 40 years’ combined experience and are active members of our industry’s professional associations. We maintain high standards and professional integrity.
1. Introductions
This is all about you and what is important to you.
A vitally important step in the process, because the better we know and understand what it is you are looking to achieve, the better equipped we are in helping to guide you on the right path.
We will ask about your:
- past experiences,
- future aspirations, and;
- current financial situation.
We listen, answer any questions you may have and provide you with ideas and information, so you can decide where to go next.
2. Research & Analysis
Once we understand what It is that you want to achieve we undertake a detailed assessment of your current position in relation to your goals, weighing our findings against your priorities and desired timeframes. This step involves gathering up to date information on any financial products you currently hold, plus looking at other issues which may affect your ability to achieve your goals.
3. Strategy Development
Based on our research and analysis, we then develop a strategy which is tailored specifically for you. In doing so we compare various strategies, looking at how to get you from where you are now to where you want to be in the future. This usually encompasses looking at how to protect you along the way.
We then document your personalised strategy in your Statement of Advice. This is your financial roadmap which will contain your action items and if appropriate, details of any recommended financial products.
4. Presentation & Approval
After our analysis is complete, we will present you with your Statement of Advice which will clearly explain the rationale behind each of our recommendations for you. It is vital that you feel comfortable with and understand the strategies we are recommending, and why they are appropriate for you.
Please take this opportunity to ask questions and further enhance your knowledge. Only once you fully understand and are satisfied with our advice should you approve implementation of these recommendations.
5. Implementation of Action Plan
After discussing the strategies and making any adjustments which may be required, we implement your financial plan in accordance with our detailed agreement.
6. Regular Reviews & Ongoing Advice
As life changes, so too will your It (not to mention the impact of economic and legislative changes which are out of your control).
Meeting regularly and checking on how you are tracking is essential in ensuring the continued suitability of your plan and allows for modifications as required.
In addition to this, we love sharing in your successes and seeing you achieve what is important to you. This brings us a great deal of satisfaction and reinforces why we do what we do.
